The Inside Ride is an organized stationary cycling challenge that we bring to you, which is set up indoors or outdoors. Up to sixty state of the art racing bikes, are mounted and held stationary on trainers, with mileage and speed gauged with odometers. Each cyclist rides for ten minutes to heart-pounding, uplifting music as cyclists rotate through the event, cheered on by teammates, friends, colleagues and spectators. Volunteers record rider team mileage and photos are visually displayed throughout the event ? creating momentum and camaraderie between the teams!

Each organization will raise money through pledging rider teams, or companies may hire The Inside Ride and treat their employees to a team-building challenge.

Participants will find The Inside Ride tool kit contains all the details, corporate or academic event manual, forms and information to distribute amongst colleagues and friends, to make hosting the event easy! Post event awards are given to recognize outstanding team fundraising, team spirit, team costumes, team mileage and individual male and female fundraising achievements.

Step One:

We Present to your Organization

Members of The Inside Ride team provide your workplace or school with a 30 minute presentation on the Inside Ride programme. Participants will learn about the impact their participation will have on the lives of families and children with cancer and why your help is needed.

 

Step Two:

Book your Event

Connect with the Inside Ride team to book your event date. We send you your package and set up your online event page. You can then start immediately by inviting participants to register online to your event page as team captains, riders and volunteers. (see example)

 

Step Three:

Your Call to Action

Raise the excitement level! How are you going to celebrate your Inside Ride on event day? What is your team theme? What kind of creative team costume will you bring? What kind of fundraising events can your school or office have? Pie-throwing contests are sure-fire winners! The money you raise will go to where the needs are greatest including funding of oncology camps, community support programmes, research scholarships and other areas which contribute to inspiring hope and improving prognoses for children and their families impacted by cancer.

 

Step Four:

You Ride

Participants, volunteers and spectators gather in your workplace foyer, gymnasium or outdoor venue on the designated date and time as we kick off The Inside Ride cycling challenge ? 6 riders per team, 5 or 10 minutes of cycling per rider. Bring your team spirit and celebrate your organization's efforts to ride, volunteer, donate and fundraise.

 

Step Five:

You are Rewarded

Many chances for team and individual rewards including:

• The team with the highest combined mileage
• The team with the most team spirit (example)
• The team with the best team costume (example)
• The team that raises the most money
• The male and female with the highest fundraising
